It's an interesting "club"... involved process, from application to novice onwards... membership is telling and interesting in and of itself.

Re: A terrible loss - Agesilaos; Karl
Greetings,
It has taken some time to process the loss to our community.
We have lost a member that brought much to our discussion and kept many pushing themselves
into research and reasoning.
Amyntoros, thank you for posting; Alexias, well done.
Regards,
Sikander

Re: Amphipolis
Greetings Pothosians. This has turned into a rather interesting thread that could, of itself, go into many tangents. Oddly enough, although Alexander is long dead, his perceived legacy, by those who wish to interpret one, continues in the form of a different groups, like "The Order of Alexander...

Greetings Pothosians, Just stepping in, as one of the moderators, to let members know some of us *are* still present and *do* check in, but the past two years has been rather busy for some of us. I understand the frustration when a thread evolves into one or two people discussing the minutiae of an ...

Re: The skeleton...
Greetings, I have hopes that the research on this tomb and the bones found within will follow a careful, thoughtful investigation and peer-review system to avoid flights of fancy and wishful thinking. At this particular point, there is still much in the air..and remaining speculation as to who resid...

Re: Greek horses
Greetings, There is currently a lot of research being done on the horse types of the ancient world. Attempts to preserve some of the native species are also underway, as well as some work on re-establishing older strains. The majority of Greek breeds ARE relatively small in comparison to others, tho...

Re: Another Finding of Alexander's Tomb?
Greetings Amyntoros,
I am not certain but I believe the original report came from a faux news site called World News Daily Report.
I would hope it were never found, but if it were, I am certain the BBC and various archaeology sites would be announcing the news.

Sikander
