Hi, I'm new to the forum but from what I've seen there seems to be alot of info and well informed people here. I'm looking forward to exploring it further.
Early next year I will be going to Alexandria and I was wondering if anyone had any info or links to where I can find a modern map of Alexandria (online) showing where the mosque of Nabi Daniel, the Attarine mosque, the Alabaster Tomb or any other place connected to Alexander maybe located.
I have been to Egypt many times and speak some arabic, but this is my first time looking for traces of Alexander. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to Siwa, maybe next time. Thanks!

It isn't online, but I do recommend Andrew Chugg's The Lost Tomb of Alexander The Great.
He has a site with his later books, but looking I don't see it. Though I notice he has a new one! The Quest for the Tomb of Alexander the Great.

Whether you agree with some of his ideas or not, I've found his book nicely illustrated, easy to read and thoughtful and it does have maps. Some very ancient and newer ones.
His ideas for the location of the tomb are compelling to me.
You can still get The Lost Tomb of Alexander the Great on Amazon.

I don't know how to make the URL thingy shorter...

The Egypt tourism website is pretty good. This is their Alexandria page, and has a map showing the location of Nabi-Daniel Mosque, plus info about the Attarine Mosque.
