I got around to reading this, and thought it was rather 'meh.' It read ok, but he tended (at least is seems to me) not to have any rhyme or reason as to when he chose how to cover controversial topics. Sometimes he'd cover the different angles, sometimes he'd list two (of several) interpretations, and sometimes he'd just go with whatever he felt like as being hard fact. I gave it three stars at amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Alexander-Great-P ... 231&sr=1-1) while stating I might give it an extra 1/2 star if it were allowed.

Any thoughts from anyone who's read it?
