The grave of Amphipolis

This is from the press:
1) All recent days, while the excavation goes on , the location is guarded by huge police force.
2) M.Lefatzis, the architect of the excavation stated: the lion of Amphipolis was the sema of the grave (one of the biggest in Eupope),and the date of the grave is 300-325; the marble was carried from the island of Thassos (expencive), the grave made possibly by the favorite Alexander's architect Deinokrates.
Public statements are soon to follow once the dig is over. According to rumors 2 marble sphinxes were found, the giant tomb's guardians.

Today part of a big Macedonian tomb appeared .Two beautiful sphinges as guardians.Road width of the tomb 5 meters . Walls that mimic the precint( fresco ) Prime Minister A. Samaras visited the place.Photo of the tomb only in the national tv .The excavation goes on.
