"Desperately Seeking Hephaestion" (Elizabeth Hopkinson)

So I was poking about online last night, as part of writing up an abstract for a panel on this year's annual AAH (Association of Ancient Historians) meeting at Emory in Atlanta, and I came across a short story that I found completely charming, and original in its approach. It's short, so a quick read, and not historical fiction in the usual sense, more what I'd term postmodern. She's apparently a recognized rising star of short fiction in Britain, and mostly dabbles in SFF, according to her website. I was so impressed, I even wrote her a fan letter (to which she graciously replied), and I'll be posting the link to her story on my Hephaistion website (somewhere, once I figure out where to put it).
