Hello, I am interested in all aspects of Alexander's Asian campaign and his historiography (hence why I am here) - specifically his campaign in India. Archaeology would be an added bonus and I think it would be of great importance to know the social and political circumstances of India at the time.

Hi, the only suggestion I can make is that you read Kathleen Toohey's papers here https://uq.academia.edu/KathleenToohey. She has gone into some fairly detailed analysis of Alexander's Indian campaign in these papers. Her focus is on how Alexander used his army, and I certainly learnt quite a bit from Kathleen's papers.

Brian Bosworth's Alexander in the East is another obvious one. Not a pretty picture of the conqueror, but an important contribution.
