Dear Pauline, thank you for posting this transcription of a bronze plaque found in Argos. In line 8-9 there is a name very interesting: Aischylos Temenidas. Was he too a true descendant of Herakles and a relative of the royal family of Macedonia?

Thank you for your question
The Argeads invented this connection with Temenides ,which is a myth. This person had no relation to the Macedonian royal family Of course the clan of the Temenides believed it came from Heracles . All the clans of Argos were subject to the each tribe during the Democratic regime ( 460 bC) The tribes were Υλλεις Δυμανες Πάνφυλοι and Υρνάθιοι .The clan of Temenids belonged to the tribe of Υρνάθιοι .In the end the importance of the clan began to decrease

The discovery of the bronze tables ( 134 tablets , first half of the 4 century bC) opened up a whole new world ,and greatly enriched our historical knowledge of the ancient Argos/Ancient Greece
