Books to Read

Post by Sikander »

Greetings- now that we have editing again, we will be posting some more of the book reviews
during the coming week. Be patient- we have 40 pages of them!
Nick's excellent ancient sources reviews are up, just click on Books on the left, then click on
reviews.
Over the next week, if all goes well and the editing works, we will be adding the reviews under
several subheadings. The book review section is a "live" area, meaning we will be adding to it
as long as people submit reviews. You can submit them via email to
philoalexandros@hotmail.com; if you want your bio included in the bio section for the
reviews, please submit with your review.
Regards,
Sikander

OK guys, this gives me an incentive to get the *creation* of pages working again.I can do it manually pretty easily - so if you need to create some paragraphs, give me a list of names and I will set them up for you.I will also drop you a line when I have created the "creation" functionality!Thomas

THE RIGHT WORD IS PHILALEXANDROS AND NO PHILOALEXADROS. I KNOW ANCIENT AND MODERN GREEK!

He dropped the E because in Greek the HE in HEPHAISTION is represented by one letter ('H) - like the next two letters PH are represented by one letter (phi, the circle with the vertical line). But I guess if you're going to write in English, you should always try to use the proper english spelling!

Spelling

Post by Sikander »

No, the spelling is correct for the particular email address given. If a person attempts
to send a book review to the "correct" spelling, we will not receive it.
