Strange Theories

Post by dirk »

Dear folks here at the forum,I am german writer preparing a book on theories and exeditions for the lost tomb of Alexander. In the course of my research I already came in contact with Andrew Michael Chugg, who was of great help and provided me with the address of this website. After writing about the Siwa excavations of Liana Souvaltzi, about Heinrich Schliemann trying to dig in Alexandria and many more, I would like to end the book with a rather long chapter about strange theories, e.g. the one of the japanese teacher, who thinks Alexander became the first emperor of Japan. What sort of really weird theories did You come across and are there any internet ressources on the web telling stories like that? What ist the weirdest stuff You ever heard about the tomb of Alexander the Great? Thanks for repliesDirk

Hi Dirk,Sounds interesting. Is it just theories about the tomb that you're after? (There is a piece on internet myths on this site, for example - although I don't think any of them are about the tomb.)ATBMarcus

One of the more strange ones I've heard is that he's in the Native American burial mounds in Centralia Illinois...I've got to get down there one of these days.later Nicator

Is that a recent discovery? You'll have to forgive me, I've been distracted with my book for the last year and haven't found much time to lift my head to look around much. Nicator
