Hi all - I saw these illustrations for the first time and I hope they will be interesting for others too. It has been ages since I posted images here and I couldn't figure out how to do it, so I am just providing the links to Getty images.

I had to chuckle at the illustration of Alexander's entrance into Babylon. Comparing to the scenes in Stone's movie or any of the known paintings, the difference is refreshing. ;)
