I was watching the Olympic Games earlier this morning and low & behold the trailer debuted for the first time in the US (NBC). Anthony Hopkins was not the narrator but there were added scenes, all in all, not bad.

I've seen a couple of trailers at the theatre. Last night saw the "Preview" magazine article and was pleased to see that they are using Ptolemy (Anthony Hopkins) as the narrator. At first I wondered why they had cast him as Ptolemy because Ptolemy wasn't that much older than Alexander. Now I get their drift and was pleased about that. It happens that in my novel I have also used him as a kind of narrator for the Prologue and Epilogue. Interesting!

I have seen the trailer twice in the theatre. But I really want to see the new one. I think we will see a new one in September, to kick off the fall movie previews.Ruth,I was wondering about Anthony Hopkins role at first, as well. Elliot Cowen plays Young Ptolemy and Hopkins is the older one and the narrator of the story.I think you knew this already. So I guess I am probably not telling you anything new.I just want to see that new trailer!Dara

I think they're on the right track. I was wondering who was going to play the young Ptolemy. I'm not familiar with the actor they have chosen and it will be interesting to see how they handle his story.
