Not sure how legit this one is though. Caught a photo of Colin Farrell in Dublin with his older brother. Err, Colin is the ugly brother :-)http://www.aint-it-cool-news.com/display.cgi?id=18649

I guess that Oliver Stone is counting on Europeans to recover his $150 million investment! Just how much will the red states invest in this movie? Very darn little, I am inclined to think...

I meant it as an amusing comment. His brother is very handsome - looks like a cross between David Cassidy and Johnny Depp.I wouldn't know if he was gay or not, nor would I care :-)Regards,Tre

I'd care. No use chatting up a gay man. What mistakes I made in my youth... Actually, I am not surprised at the review - the film has the weaknesses I'd expect. But I am disappointed.

I wouldn't take much stock in that review. It was written before the film was finished (the film was not finished until right before the end of October. That information comes from one of the editors of the film, a friend of mine was in contact with)and it is a very vague description of the film. There was some question over where I post if it was even a legitimate review. It's just wait and see what the critics say.Dara

I hope you are right - but the weaknesses aren't really something that can be sorted by editing. Dialogue etc. Plus, I am a bit doubtful about anyone who says Farrell is a great actor, so I would say that the critic was not overly critical. Farrell was good in Phone Booth, but that is about it..

Hi Linda,I just thought that the review was a bit too vague to be by someone who actually saw the film (AICN is known for some phony reviews). Granted, it's not going to please everyone. I happen to like Colin Farrell as an actor, so I am looking forward to seeing what he does with the part. But it's a personal choice. I guess I'll see it and then be disappointed or not. I guessing most of you will, too.Dara

WOW! I've never heard the "Red States" before. Rather humorous! I'd be willing to bet the film will do well in America. There is still the quiet majority that admires an able leader; not to mention a well educated class that silently admires Alexander. From the people that I've talked to on the street, very few have never heard of him...from all walks of life, and covering all races. Still, his popularity lives on. later Nicator
