Well, its pretty obvious Alexanders story cant be done in one movie (at least the way we want it). So im happy that HBO is still going ahead with their series on him. I think it will be 10 to 12 episodes. Easily enough for drama and war enthusiasts. I am not sure if Mel Gibson is involved, but i hope so, i like his style. Anyway, i think theyre filming a series on Rome so they will start on Alexander after that.

If you don't mind me asking - where did you learn that the HBO series is still on? The last I heard, it was cancelled a long time ago. Has someone else bought the options and/or did you hear something recently? And I just thought I'd take the opportunity here to throw in something that Colin said in an interview after the premiere. Found it at:
http://romanticmovies.about.com/od/alex ... htm(Q)"The supporting cast have all said you were very generous with them. Some even said you personally flew them here to the premiere... "(A) [Shrugging that off] "ItGÇÖs the boys. TheyGÇÖre the boys; theyGÇÖre the Generals. TheyGÇÖre the Macedonian Army."Now surely even those of you who don't think Farrell is right for the part have got to love him a little for that quote! :-)Best regards,Linda Ann

As long as we realize that he's just a short Irish actor and outside of his height he's nothing like Alexander, which seems to be the slant they want me to buy
