This is all a matter of non-scientific approaches, European symbols dating from ages ago, but you can find all your answers by searching Google. In general the colours of the playing deck are believed to represent the following 'nations':Spades - the Jewish people (King David is King of Spades)Diamonds - the Classic Roman Empire (Julius Caesar is King of Diamonds)Hearts - the Christian Holy Roman Empire (Charlemagne is King of Hearts)Clubs - the Ancient Greeks, and more specifically: the class of farmers amongst human beings (thus Alexander is King of Clubs)Well, it is called a "Trivia" quiz after all.Regards ---Nick
