Hail companionsThanks for your posts,,, I basically thought the concept following the post regarding an Iranian concept of Alexander.Basically as with most of the world including the UK,,, This area seems to have become more bastardised than any region on earth,,, So basically would any modern Iranians know ancient Persia,, We are well aware of Iran and fundamentalism with tainting things the way it suits our oiwn viewpoints.I would guess hardly anyone in Iran knew the real Alexander I agree the boogie man concept to keep naughty kids under control as its gotta be accepted Alexander was a scary prospect to Persia at that time,,, But jhust hjow scary was he when in charge,, WE dont hear of whole sale torture or massacre only the extents of hes generosity and lenience towards conquered peoples.I just wonder why todays Iranians would vilify him so much,,of course its all about the divisions of todays east and west and Alexander was a westerner that basicall ran the show.
