I just read a post on the Zimmerman forum, that Oliver Stone is cutting the "love" scenes between Hephaistion and Alexander. The line "stay with me tonight" is already off, and Oliver Stone apparently decided to portray them as just friends, as Achilles and Patroclus was portrayed in Troy (cousins actually). Basically, he is making Alexander interested in just women, so I guess the kissing scene with Bagoas is out too. This pisses me off. The one and only reason that I actually did not DISLIKE the movie, was the fact that Hephaistion and Alexander are portrayed the way they should be portrayed. If Oliver does this, he can shuve that DVD...I downloaded the movie, so I'm just gonna burn it and keep the original format.

Stone said he woudl do that, so he could get teh DVD into schools. I guess American schools just can't cope with that sort of reality... In any case, I thought the romantic stuff was pretty lame anyway...Linda
