Hello,Was thinking recently about Aristotle and his short time with Alexander.
After their brief time together in Mieza they were never to meet again.I was just curious to find out if there were any letters or any notes or writings that told of Aristotle's thoughts of Alexander- the man or his exploits, before or after his death.I was wondering how much Aristotle may have influenced in Alexander's way of thinking(if at all)and behaving. Would be very interested to hear what you think.Best regards,

Hi Dean,What a number of people have pointed out as very interesting is the fact that Aristotle wrote nothing about Alexander. The closest he got was his report of Philip's death... but even then Alexander was not mentioned. Even when he describes the 'perfect ruler' he doesn't mention his former pupil - which means that either he didn't consider Alexander to be a perfect ruler, or perhaps it was so obvious to his audience that Alexander fitted the mould... but that's unlikely.Of course, we don't know what he might have said (if anything) in his lost works.All the bestMarcus
