As an answer to Alexias : He really was , and perhaps his erotic conquests were also due to this , albeit to a small extent , because as we know , power is the greatest aphrodisiac !

The polychrome paintings of the cist-shaped tomb of Tanagra ,which are considerd unique and original to this day in terms of their iconography .From their style and the influence of macedonian funerary painting they show,we conclude that they date to the 3rd century BC .That the painter who created the decoration was local is inferred from his inexperience in representing human figures. The deaceased was an officer of the cavalry but we dont know if he was a Theban citizen or a Macedonian one .
On the narrow side A is represented the bust of a horse ,and a kopis /knife held in a leather sheath .Long side D :cuirass probably of iron , a pair of graves and a helmet of the beotian type .a metal ring with five metal strigils( athletic activities of the dead )On the narrow side B ; Is represened a lyre or kithara with 16 strings ( the dead was a skilled musician)On the long side c : depicted several writings instruments as well as boxes for their storage There is a diptych folding board with a wax surface for note-taking,a bird-feather quill suitable for writing on papyrus,a semi-cylindrical storage cist of a net from which it was suspended on the wall ,a rectangular storage box placed vertically and tied with red ribbons ending in a bow, a rectangular chest on which is an inkwell with a metal stylus leaning diagonally up aganst it , a suitable writind object for inscribing and erasing notes on the surface of the diptych board .Next to the cest are depicted three papyri scolls rolled up into cylinders and placed horizontally one on top of the other , all tied together with a red ribbon also ending in a bow .The papyri - demonstrate the ability of the deceased in writing or copying texts probably songs or poems ,which he would have performed to the accompaniment of his kithara .

My note ( not a blasphemy but ...): the deseased was the perfect male example , he was a valiant warrior , a sportsman he was rich and he was a poet too !!!

This is uncanny, because I have literally just spent the last hour looking at that very same inscription ... then logged on to Pothos and there's the translation from your catalogue. If you're interested in the original Greek (IG VII 3206):
