As an expert on Hephaistion, the person's research is missing a bunch of important material on Hephaistion. It's a bit spotty. (Can't find the author's name on the article.) She/He also seems to have missed a very long article "The Mourning of Alexander" in Syllecta Classica. It's neither a new article nor behind a paywall. It looks like this is a draft, so if it's not actually in *print* yet, the author still has time to do a little more looking into Hephaistion as a figure in his own right...and find that article on Alexander's mourning.
(Generally not a good idea to write on a topic and *not* reference other articles *on the same topic*, even if taking a different tact.)
