Finally got to hear this in full. Liked it. Definitely worth getting the CD if you like Vangelis.

Hi Halil,Certainly the small amount that I've heard so far sounds good. I'm not a massive Vangelis fan, but I liked his 1492 soundtrack, and the bit of Alexander I've heard seemed to fit the theme/style etc.I'd buy the soundtrack anyway ...All the bestMarcus

I like only three or four sections: the intro, young Alexander, Bagoas dance, Crossing the Mountain, and Eternal Alexander. The others are really only so-so. I don't like the lack of trumpets! I don't like the oversentimentality! But usually I like Vangelis, and only in some parts, do I like this. But it clearly is not what I would like to have heard in a movie about Alexander. It is just too sentimentally sweet!

Hi Marcus, again, I liked #17 as it makes me think of my screen name at the NYTimes.

Soundtracks run the gamut of the emotiuonal experience in the movie- life ain't all blood and guts. The veil dance or whatever it was is expressive

Yeah, Vangelis is an interesting composer that has done a bunch of different films. He's got an interesting style... Alexander is a good example of it. the behind the scenes stuff the label put out about him composing the movie score was pretty good.
