Alexandria and Alexander's birthday

Post by marcus »

Here's another interesting little piece, courtesy of our friends at RogueClassicism.

It might be utter tosh, but it sounds quite interesting.

All the best

It would have been a more logical conclusion to have stuck with the Regulan alignment, all of these people were Kings after all ; as has been discussed here elsewhere Plutarch's birthdate is suspect, surprising that the authors accept this tendentious evidence in one breath and dismiss his claims of a favourable location in the next. Since the surveyors would have used direct observation rather than calculation half a degree seems a large error, ignore the putative Birthday and a one second error seems acceptable; i suppose an Alexander connection is more sexy than plain astrology. Was Regulus significant in the 4th Century BC, though?
When you think about, it free-choice is the only possible option.
