Source: Variety Tuesday, September 9, 2003 Writer/director Oliver Stone has signed his The Doors star Val Kilmer to play the Macedonian king Philip in Alexander, the Intermedia/Warner Bros. drama that begins filming Sept. 22 in Morocco.He will play the father of Alexander (Colin Farrell) and the husband of Olympias (Angelina Jolie). Kilmer, who can next be seen in Lions Gate's Wonderland), will head to Morocco to prepare for the role.Lensing of the film moves to London on November 10 and then wraps in early January in Thailand.
