A question about an Alexander book?
I hear about a fictional book about Alexander called "A choice of destinies"-an email buddy told me it's good and that it has the best Hephaistion she ever read in a fictional book. So,did anyone here read it?What did you think? What's Hephaestion like? Thanks a lot,Linds

Re: A question about an Alexander book?
There is a good review in Reames-Zimmerman: http://home.earthlink.net/~mathetria/Be ... lt.html.It has a list of several fiction about Alexander published since about 1920, along with reviews, and a list of related mediums. Treatments of Hephaistion in various novels are addressed in the reviews.

Thanks for the link!Very interesting...But,no one here read it?Ah well...Thanks again,Linds
Re: A question about an Alexander book?
I've read it. It's one of the better ones (probably a tick below Tarr's book, Lord of the Two Lands)and has an interesting premise, but it is no where near as good as Renault, who towers above everyone else.
